The HSE has released a bulleting about protecting lone workers and how training can reduce the risk to your staff, see the below………

Lone working: protecting those who work alone – Lone workers can be at greater risk of harm as they may not have anyone to help or support them if things go wrong.

Solutions conflict resolution training (online, tutor-led, train the trainer, or blended learning) provides staff with the knowledge, skills, and techniques to keep themselves safe when working alone.

We offer conflict programmes that include qualifications that are recognised on the regulated qualifications framework, including the QNUK Level 2 Award in Conflict Management (RQF), QNUK Level 2 Award in Preventing Violence in the Workplace (RQF) and QNUK Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training (RQF).

Our programme units of learning include:
1. Causes and definitions of violence
2. Assertive, aggressive, and submissive behaviours
3. Fight or flight and communication
4. Dynamic risk assessment of people, objects, and places
5. Law of self-defense and reasonable force
6. The application of the conflict resolution model
7. Optional – Post-incident reporting and effects
8. Optional – Lone working
9. Application of six disengagement skills

We provide organisations with the option to purchase an annual licence to view our Disengagement/Holding Techniques Training Aid Videos. These videos are used to reinforce the techniques learners are taught during their initial training. The videos have been developed and directed by Police and Ambulance professionals to be used as a supporting aid for trainers and trainees that have attended conflict resolution training courses. Each video is designed to show the physical technique along with guidance on how to execute a safe breakaway for each scenario.
