Last week a former miner, police officer, fire officer, qualified nurse along with ambulance staff completed the Level 3 Moving and Handling Trainers award (emergency services) so that they can deliver patient handling training to all ambulance staff working for North East Ambulance Trust which covers Cleveland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear And Northumbria to the Scottish Borders. Thereby ensuring patients are moved in a safe, comfortable and dignified manner whilst keeping themselves safe in what can be a high risk job. In addition some of this very diverse group of trainers recently completed a Conflict Resolutions trainers course also with Solutions. This is a great example of employing a diverse group of people to train their teams at N. E. Ambulance Trust.
Solutions Training and Advisory offer both instructor led train the trainer courses for moving and handling of people as well as moving and handling of objects. E-learning courses are also available, and currently the entire Welsh Ambulance service train their paramedics using Solutions Training e-learning software titled Backs For The Future.
