West Midlands Ambulance Trust have taken delivery of another 100 bariatric sized “Unique Ambulance Patient Carry Sheets” meaning they now have over 500 in service. The carry sheets allows crews to carry patients across rough terrain where a wheeled stretcher cannot be used whilst offering the option of keeping the patient sat up so those with breathing difficulties will be more comfortable. Our carry sheets can also be used as depicted by placing a “scoop” stretcher in the foot pocket allowing crews to maintain better postures and grips whilst descending stairs with a patient needing to be kept flat.
