People who transport people with special needs have great responsibilities and are very often ill equipped to deal with the reasonably foreseeable needs of people who require extra support. At Solutions Training we have over thirty years of first hand experience of both transporting people with special needs and providing special needs training The team has worked for both ambulance services and local authority special needs transport services. The special needs transport training we offer will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to deliver a safe dignified service to customers be they traveling by road, rail or air as these are all sectors we currently work with. We are the only UK training company to offer the EDEXCEL / BTEC accredited “Transporting People with Special Needs” short course qualification to quality assure our special needs transport training. Our expertise includes conducting risk assessments as well as providing training in disability awareness, first aid, moving & handling and advanced skills in managing challenging behavior and use of medication. To enable your customers to be treated with dignity by competent staff is both a moral and legal requirement. In 2000 partnership with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham we pioneered the implementation of individual service user “ Transportation Care Plans.
