New Manual Handling Equipment From Solutions Training

 

The Manual Handling Regulations require employers to reduce risks. SLIDE SHEET

The Twin Slide (Glide) Sheet reduces enormously the problems associated with bariatric patients by enabling rescuers to re-locate the patient to a point where they can be safely transferred to a stretcher or carry bag, without the need for lifting or adoption of postures which would place the rescuers at risk. A second of these new products is the carry bag, light and compact and extremely strong, the carry bag is a useful tool for rescuers where stairs or confined spaces prevent the use of a carry chair or conventional stretcher.

  • The slide sheets are available in different colours so that in emergency situations people easily select the correct sheet.

The Carry Bag is both a proven and inexpensive product and together with the twin slide sheet, Solutions have supplied close to a thousand of these units, which have proven to be of immense benefit in reducing the risks of spinal injury to Fire & Rescue, and Ambulance services throughout the UK. The carry bag replaces a traditional carry sheet which is more limited in it’s use

  • The carry bag is unique in design so can be used to carry a casualty with breathing difficulties (chest injury after a bomb blast, breathing difficulties after a chemical attack)
  • The carry bag is easy to stow and can be used in tight environments such as staircases.
