Unique manual handling course rolls out across country

In January 2004, as a result of the changing role of the UK firefighter we worked in partnership with Solutions in partnership with the Fire Service College, HM Fire Service Inspectorate and our sister company Merlin Communications to develop and launch a unique film based training resource pack. This was aimed at tackling the risks of manual handling amongst the UK’s firefighters and was supported by an EDEXCEL / BTEC accredited five day instructor course to learn how to use the system.

The system continues to be rolled out across English Fire Brigades and has also resulted in the company working together with brigades to produce specialist equipment for moving casualties quickly and safely. This makes us the biggest external supplier of this type of training to English Fire Brigades.
