Course Introduction This course has been designed to ensure each member of your team is equipped with up to date manual handling training and personal risk assessment skills so that, risks are reduced to employees, mitigating your risk to claims and litigation. The course centres on improving manual handling by combining the use of criterion based risk assessment with current best practice handling techniques. This course stimulates an ideal climate for change to attitudes, practices and motivation which is essential to improving safer handling in the work place. Participants discover simple and effective ways to move and handle inanimate loads in a manner that requires far less physical effort, and improves confidence in a range of environments. They will also be trained to instruct others effectively. This programme was originally designed in 1994 and has been subsequently developed to keep up with current best practice and legal requirements.
