This course is designed by health and safety experts who will assist participants to be aware of and learn how to manage risks in an office environment. |

Course Introduction
This course has been designed to ensure each member of your staff are aware of the possible hazards of working in an office environment and how such hazards may lead to damage to people or equipment. A very practical, enjoyable half day workshop which will engage participants to ensure they are aware of what they can do to reduce risks in the office environment.
The course centres on recognising hazards and behaviours that impact on safety.
This course stimulates an ideal climate for change to attitudes, practices and motivation which is key in this topic. |

What delegates will learn
- How the major requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act of 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work regulations 1999, the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and Fire Safety Regulations apply in an office environment
- Identify the underlying causes of accidents at work
- Define the terms hazard and risk
- Understand basic rules for fire prevention and managing accidents in the workplace
- Understand the causes and risk control measures to reduce risk of muscular – skeletal injury in the workplace
- Perform a hazards spotting exercise
- Action plan for reducing risks in the workplace
